EGO driven...

Hubby was playing the board game Chutes and Ladders with the boys this evening. The little one insists on ONLY spinning a 2. Luckily his brother (almost 5), and their Abba are quite patient. Funny also, another reason why these games always say from age 3 is that he doesn't get the game in the least bit. He likes to move his piece, but with no true pattern that is evident to the rest of us. If he lands on a ladder, he decides WHICH ladder he will climb. Same thing goes for the chute, which is quite funny when he insists on going down the huge chute that undoubtedly will cause someone to lose. In the middle of the game, he decides (and not even on his turn) that his man likes to fly, and he takes a little trip hovering over the board. I could hear my 2 patient men getting a little huffy with him as I chuckled under my breath while preparing dinner. Guess it's easy to laugh when you're not the one involved in the EGO of a 2 year old.

I guess it's not THAT bad, only 5 months and 18 days till he's 3, but who's counting?????
